Emergency Groups & Networks
| The Burlington Amateur Radio Club
(the Club), stands ready to assist the Community (City of
Burlington and Region of Halton), in case of any declared
emergency event where the Emergency Plan(s) have been activated
by the duly authorized representative. The Club has affiliations with two amateur radio based organizations. ARES (Amateur Radio Emergency Service), which is a support organization to the Canadian Red Cross. The Club is also recently affiliated with SATERN (Salvation Army Team Emergency Radio Network). The Club has also enjoyed a long standing relationship with The Salvation Army, Family Services Division of Burlington, and The Salvation Army - Burlington Corps.
