Field Day

2019 ARRL Join the BARC Field in June

ARRL Field Day is the most popular on-the-air event held annually in

Canada and the US.  On the fourth weekend of June, more than 35,000

radio amateurs gather with their clubs, groups or simply with friends

to operate from remote locations.

This year Field Day will be June 22 and 23. We will be operating on Sunday the 23.

The general public is very welcome to come and see what we do.

The Burlington Amateur Radio Club will be participating in

ARRL Field Day  2019 at:

City View Park, on Kerns Rd. just south of Dundas St.

Feel free to contact the Field Day Chairperson:  Mike McArdle, VE3KAH if you require information or would like to participate.   E-mail Mike.

Getting Ready for Field Day

This event is open to all BARC members, licensed amateurs or if you're interested

in getting your licence and if you have any experience or not.  In fact, it is the best

way to get started using HF, even if you just come out to visit or log contacts for the operators.

Mike will provide all the information and procedures required to make and log contacts.

Objective

ARRL Field Day:  To work as many stations as possible on any and all amateur bands and

to learn to operate in abnormal situations in less than optimal conditions. Field Day is open

to all amateurs in the areas covered by the ARRL/RAC Field Organizations and countries

within IARU Region 2. DX stations residing in other regions may be contacted for credit,

but are not eligible to submit entries.

Field Day Chairman: Mike McArdle VE3KAH
